Summary: dpndncY is proprietary self-hosted software. You may use it only under a valid license. You own all your data. We provide the software as-is and are not liable for decisions made based on scan results.
By downloading, installing, or using dpndncY ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable license fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software on your own infrastructure for your internal business purposes.
The license is scoped to the number of users, projects, or seats specified in your license agreement. Use beyond the licensed scope requires a separate agreement.
You may not:
You retain all rights to your source code, dependency data, scan results, and any other data you process through the Software. Because dpndncY is self-hosted, your data does not leave your infrastructure unless you configure an integration that transmits data externally (e.g., GitHub API, SMTP, webhooks).
We do not access, collect, or process data from your self-hosted instance.
The Software includes open source components subject to their respective licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.). These licenses are available in the Software's dependency manifest. Your use of open source components is governed by their respective licenses, which take precedence over these Terms where applicable.
dpndncY queries public vulnerability databases including OSV.dev, the National Vulnerability Database (NVD), and GitHub Security Advisories (GHSA). Vulnerability data is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of vulnerability information sourced from third-party databases.
Scan results are not a substitute for professional security assessment. You are solely responsible for decisions made based on scan output.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT VULNERABILITIES IDENTIFIED ARE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LICENSE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
These Terms remain in effect for the duration of your license period. We may terminate your license immediately if you materially breach these Terms and fail to cure the breach within 14 days of written notice. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.
Software updates, bug fixes, and technical support are provided according to your license agreement. We reserve the right to change functionality, discontinue features, or release new versions at any time.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or email. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at legal@dpndncy.dev or submit a license inquiry.
